A corporate program, also known as an open and collaborative innovation program, allows an established company to collaborate with external partners, such as startups, universities, or other companies, to foster innovation.
The goal is to accelerate and achieve collaborations to address internal challenges and needs.
Through these programs, the Collision Lab and its partner companies regularly call on technology startups to submit innovative solutions that address their growth challenges.

An open innovation program allows the company to leverage external ideas and technologies. The goal is to move from observation to action by developing use cases and proofs of concept within defined timeframes. The integration of these innovations within the company is the guiding principle of the entire process, ensuring effective and targeted application.

Testing multiple solutions and technologies allows for diversification and risk reduction. While not all collaborations result in success, the probability of achieving positive outcomes is much higher than when relying on a single project. Investing in multiple initiatives therefore increases the chances of overall success.

Open innovation provides access to cutting-edge technologies, specific skills, and knowledge that the company may not necessarily possess internally.
By quickly issuing a public call for projects and conducting targeted scouting, you will gain a deep understanding of emerging and relevant technologies to meet your needs.
At Centech, we have developed our expertise in open innovation programs over the years. By continuously developing and improving our processes, tools, and methodology, we are able to meet any corporate program request.
The Collision Lab team organized and operated the 5G Development Hub program in partnership with Verizon and Bell. Initially, we conducted startup scouting in addition to the public call for projects. At the end of the call for applications, Verizon, with the support of Centech, carried out the startup selection process, resulting in 7 startups joining the program.
The goal of the program was to test the startups’ solutions with Bell and Verizon’s 5G network.
We concluded this collaboration with an Innovation Showcase that brought together employees from Bell, Verizon, the startups, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Quebec.
