The Propulsion Program offers personalized support, focused on growth (for your startup). Companies taking part in the Propulsion Program benefit from the advice of our experts and Entrepreneurs in Residence to accelerate their development.

Prerequisites of the Propulsion Program

To be eligible, your company must


    Have successfully completed the Acceleration Program


    Be incorporated and registered under the Registraire des entreprises du Québec, and have its head office in the province of Québec.


    Develop an important technological innovation in connection with Centech’s key sectors


    Have validated the proposed solution with potential customers and industry experts.


    Have a well-defined business model and a clear go-to-market plan.


    Have put in place a team whose experience and expertise meet the needs of the project.

*In rare cases, it is possible for a company to enter the Propulsion Program without having completed the Acceleration Program.
This decision is made on a case-by-case basis and at the discretion of Centech’s selection committee.

The Advantages of the Propulsion program

Up to $15,000 in grants

Participants in the Propulsion program benefit from a number of advantages, including a $10,000 entrance grant offered by National Bank, a $5,000 “coup de cœur” grant per cohort, awarded to the company chosen by the jury, privileged access to the Boréal Ventures investment fund, and an opportunity to access financing programs.

Dedicated support

All participating/supported companies benefit from personalized support from various experts, including an advisor, an Entrepreneur in Residence and a CFO in Residence. This means regular meetings and follow-ups to support your applications to obtain funding and grants, and to build and optimize both your business model and marketing strategy.

Advice from experienced external resources

As members of Centech’s innovation ecosystem, companies participating in the Propulsion Program have access to a network of potential partners, customers, service providers and seasoned investors. All supported companies have access to a funding expert, to the organizational psychology program, to the assistance program for entrepreneurs (EAP) and to many experts to support them in their growth.

Workspaces Designed for Entrepreneurs

Each incubated company has access to a dedicated workspace, an on-site manufacturing workshop (3D printers, etc.), several ÉTS laboratories, specialized software and all of Centech’s meeting rooms and facilities.

The École de design Nantes Atlantique

The Montreal-based studio of renowned École de design Nantes Atlantique is located at Centech. Every year, the studio welcomes around twenty new students to participate in the International Design Strategy program and obtain their master’s degree. This is a unique training experience for future designers, who get to collaborate with Centech’s innovation ecosystem, including both new startups and established companies.

Boréal Ventures

Boréal Ventures is a seed fund dedicated to funding Quebec companies specialized in advanced technology and applied sciences. The fund works with Centech to identify the most promising technology companies in Quebec / to identify Quebec’s most promising tech companies.
