– To a person to whom this communication must be made because of an emergency situation endangering the life, health or safety of the person concerned;
– To a person or organization, in accordance with sections 18.1 to 18.4*;
– To a person who may use this information for study, research or statistical purposes in accordance with article 21* or to a person who is authorized in accordance with article 21.1*;
– To a person who, under the Act, may collect debts for others and who requires it for this purpose in the performance of his or her duties;
– To a person if the information is required to collect a debt owed by the company.
8.2 As part of company transfers
When required by Centech’s operations (in the event of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or sale of assets, for example). In the event of such an event, we may also share all or part of the Personal Information with the third party concerned (or its advisors) as part of a due diligence process.

Here are the steps involved in processing a request:
15.1 Receipt
A written request must be sent to the Privacy Officer (see “Contact us”).
The requestor must specify :
– Name;
– Contact information, including telephone number;
– The subject of the complaint and the reasons for it, in sufficient detail to enable Centech to assess the complaint.
If the complaint is not sufficiently detailed, the Privacy Officer may request any additional information he or she deems necessary to assess the complaint.
15.2 Processing
Centech undertakes to treat any complaint received confidentially within 30 days of receipt of the complaint or of any additional information deemed necessary and requested by the Privacy Officer.
The Privacy Officer will first assess the complaint. The purpose of this assessment is to determine whether Centech’s handling of personal information complies with this Policy, any other policies and practices in place at Centech, and applicable legislation or regulations. The Privacy Officer will then send a reasoned written response to the complainant by e-mail.
If the complaint cannot be processed within this timeframe, the complainant must be informed of the reasons for extending the deadline, the progress made in processing the complaint and the reasonable time required to provide a definitive response.
Centech must keep a separate file for each complaint received. Each file contains the complaint, the analysis and documentation supporting its assessment, and the response sent to the complainant.
It is also possible to file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or any other privacy oversight body responsible for the application of the Act concerned by the subject of the complaint.
However, Centech invites any interested party to contact its Privacy Officer first, and to wait until Centech has completed its handling of the complaint.
