is co-founder of Scolab and is one of the leaders behind the success of Netmath in Quebec. He was an educational technology entrepreneur for 18 years as CEO. Two-thirds of primary-secondary students use the interactive math activity platform each year.
He is also passionate about business strategy, leadership and everything related to a company’s success factors. Scolab has opened the market for interactive digital content sold as a subscription (SaaS model) in the public and private school domain in Quebec. The “freemium” model was exploited to open exports to the United States. Carl is a fan of teamwork tools, like the business model canvas and the value proposition.
He also co-founded the Edteq Association, led discussions with the government, obtained major grants and traveled with a minister.
Scolab was acquired by TC Transcontinental in 2022 and Carl Malartre is now Principal Director at Scolab. He also does coaching as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Centech.
