Centech awards 23 National Bank bursaries as part of its Propulsion Program
On February 13, Centech awarded a total of $230,000 in National Bank bursaries to 23 entrepreneurs as part of its Propulsion Program. The ceremony was held at the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS).
“Powering entrepreneurship in Quebec is central to our mission,” said François Gagnon, Director General of ÉTS. “We’re proud to count on the support of National Bank, an institution that plays a key role in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship within numerous organizations across Quebec.”
Centech is the innovation centre of ÉTS and a leader on the Quebec start-up scene. With its 25th anniversary approaching in 2021, the program continues to grow. Offering financial assistance to entrepreneurs through the National Bank bursaries is the latest step in its expansion.
“The National Bank bursaries allow us to provide financial support to start-ups from their very beginnings, when funding is often more difficult to come by. This is when many businesses most need to access funding in order to survive and accelerate their growth,” added Richard Chénier, Director General of Centech.
After spending many years developing its incubation and propulsion programs with renowned partners and advisors, Centech has decided to branch out by offering new resources to its entrepreneurs. Centech continues to explore new services it could offer to develop world-class businesses in Montreal. In this way, it contributes to the city’s economy and helps forge an international reputation for it as a leader in innovation.
