Welcome to the “Project submission” section to join the Centech Fall 2023 Acceleration program!

Read the explanations below carefully before you start submitting your application.

 

 

 

IMPORTANT DATES

 

The submission of projects for the Fall 2023 cohort is open from
April 03, 2023 and ends on June 07, 2023 at 8:00 a.m.

Projects submitted before 8 p.m. on June 07, 2023 will be given priority. Given the great popularity of the Acceleration program and the time required to analyze the files, Centech reserves the right to close the project deposit once our quotas have been reached.

Acceleration is 12 intensive and structured weeks to move from the embryonic stage to the development of a proven business model ready to be deployed.

 

30 minutes per week of coaching with a team of entrepreneurs in residence and diverse experts.

It is also a complete toolbox on several subjects which are the bases of your entrepreneurial life (Medtech, sales, marketing, finance and financing, human resources, intellectual property, practice of the different pitches, to name a few).

Time commitment of approximately 25 daytime hours per week

  • We expect your project to be your priority. It will be difficult to be in school or to work full time at the same time. We recommend that you apply when you have enough time to complete the program.
  • Workshops last an average of 2 hours. There are about 6-8 per week at different times every week.
  • The presence of at least one person per team is mandatory for each workshop.
  • Medtech projects have 3 additional hours of specialized content per week
  • Some exceptions for evening activities (networking)
  • The schedule is not the same every week, we are dependent on the availability of speakers
  • The detailed schedule will not be available until you are accepted into the cohort

  • All information relating to your project is treated confidentially.

Specify your project information

Upload a presentation of the project in 9 slides

  • What is the identified need?
  • What is the solution found to meet this need?
  • How do you plan to generate income?
  • Tell us about the technological innovation of the project

Upload a 60 second video explaining your project

  • Repeat the same instructions as for the slide presentation.
  • A video with your cell phone is perfect

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection is made in 2 steps

Step 1: Pre-selection committee

An evaluation of the submitted applications is made according to the following criteria: the project is realistic and has a potential for commercialization, the project includes a significant technological advance and/or a patentable innovation and the project is part of the distinctive sectors and technological vectors of Centech.

Following this evaluation, the teams or individuals of the selected projects will be contacted for an interview. Projects that are not selected will receive an email indicating the main reason why they were not selected.

Step 2: Selection interview

You will be contacted for an individual interview of about 15 minutes during which we will ask you questions about you and your project. Teams or individuals from selected projects will be invited to join the cohort. Projects that are not selected will receive an email indicating the main reason why they were not selected.
