ZIMER becomes a Collision Lab partner

We’re very excited to be working with ZIMER to develop open innovation initiatives for heavy industry. 

What is ZIMER? It’s a unique innovation cluster that mobilizes a network of major iron ore and aluminum producers such as Rio-Tinto IOC, Arcelor Mittal and Aluminerie Alouette. 

Thanks to emerging technologies, we hope to contribute to the growth of ZIMER’s main niches of excellence: production equipment reliability, energy intelligence and rail asset optimization.  

In addition, this partnership will:

• 💡 Accelerate the collaboration of major companies with the pool of startups in Centech and the province of Quebec.

• 💡 Establish a mining and metals cluster in Quebec

• 💡 Enhance the commercial potential of products resulting from the work of Cégep de Sept-Îles research units.

• 💡 And to raise awareness of open innovation among businesses.
